Wineries Washington

Snoqualmie

One of Washington's first premium wineries, Snoqualmie has been producing award-winning wines from Columbia Valley vineyards for nearly two decades. Relying on flat-out delicious grapes and the talents of dedicated winemaker Joy Andersen, the winery has quietly assembled a loyal legion of local fans.

By May 2001, Snoqualmie Vineyards will be available nationally. The winery's national roll out has been delayed until now as Snoqualmie has waited for vineyards planted in the mid-1990s to begin bearing fruit. With demand for Washington wines at an all-time high, Snoqualmie is now ready to grow with secure, long-term grape sources from three of the state's best and most distinct growing regions – Wahluke Slope, Horse Heaven Hills and Yakima Valley. Each region produces grapes with flavors unique to the area giving Snoqualmie's winemaker added blending options.

Snoqualmie's Columbia Valley wines are styled for easy drinking and as a complement to foods. Reserve wines, crafted one barrel at a time, use only those grapes the winemaker deems as having a little something “extra.” Quantities are extremely limited.

Snoqualmie is currently distributed in Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, Wisconsin.

Distribution is scheduled to expand in the spring of 2001 to include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Maine, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico, Kansas, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming and Vermont.
