Founded
in California's Napa Valley in 1974, Conn Creek Winery immediately
claimed its place in the pantheon of great Cabernet producers
with the release of the spectacular 1974 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet
Sauvignon. Over the years the winery has demonstrated a particular
gift for making thick, rich, classic Napa Valley Cabernet. Today
the winery focuses exclusively on Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-styled
red wines, producing fewer than 5,000 cases a year. Conn Creek's
Anthology, a Bordeaux-style blend from Napa Valley grapes, has
soft tannins and high fruit intensity. The wine earned a "93"
from Wine Spectator with the inaugural 1991 release and has earned
scores in the 90s for each vintage since.
